Connecting via Terminal

Once your instance is running, you can connect to it using the terminal provided in the GetMac dashboard.

Note: Instances are for debugging only and are deleted automatically 60 minutes after they are created, closing any open sessions. Save your work outside the instance before the hour is up. See Creating Your First Instance.

Connection via direct SSH is not supported at the moment. We are working on adding this feature in the near future.

To connect using the terminal, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the to the instance dashboard of your running instance.

  2. Click on the Terminal tab to open the terminal interface.

  3. You can now execute commands directly on your instance through the terminal.

Note: The terminal is available only when the instance is in the Running state. Therefore, ensure that your instance is running before attempting to connect via the terminal.

Note: It might take a few moments for the instance to be fully ready to accept terminal connections after it shows as running. Usually, it takes about 30-60 seconds.
