GitLab CI Runners Are Now Available

Since launch, GetMac has powered fast macOS CI runners for GitHub Actions. Today, we're bringing that same experience to GitLab CI/CD — connect GetMac runners to your GitLab projects directly from your dashboard.

Why GitLab CI on GetMac?

Many teams rely on GitLab for its integrated DevOps platform — merge requests, container registry, and CI/CD all in one place. But getting fast Apple Silicon macOS runners for GitLab has meant managing your own hardware or dealing with slow, expensive third-party options.

With GetMac, your GitLab pipelines now get the same Apple M4 runners, pre-installed toolchains, and sub-minute boot times that our GitHub users already enjoy.

How to Get Started

Connect GetMac runners to your GitLab projects in minutes:

  1. Navigate to the GitLab Runners section in your GetMac dashboard.
  2. Generate a runner registration token.
  3. Add the token to your GitLab project or group settings.
  4. Your .gitlab-ci.yml pipelines will automatically pick up GetMac runners.

All Images Available

Every macOS image we offer is available for GitLab CI runners:

  • macOS Sonoma (14.6.1) — Xcode 16.3
  • macOS Sequoia (15.6.1) — Xcode 16.4
  • macOS Tahoe (26.3) — Xcode 26.3 RC2
  • macOS Tahoe Beta (26.4) — Xcode 26.4 Beta

Each image comes with the full suite of pre-installed tools — CocoaPods, Fastlane, Homebrew, npm, pip, Ruby gems, and more. For the complete list, see our Installed Tools & Libraries documentation. For available runner labels, check the Workflow Labels page.

Hardware & Performance

Every GetMac GitLab runner uses:

  • Apple M4 (Virtual) — arm64 architecture with 8 GB RAM
  • Full simulator runtimes — iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS
  • SIP disabled — for maximum CI flexibility

Pricing

GitLab CI runners are available on all existing GetMac plans at no additional cost. You use the same pool of runner minutes across GitHub and GitLab.
